Reflexology for health, relaxation and renewal

About Me

Hi there thanks for stopping by. My name is Mel and I am a professional Reflexologist and member of the AOR (Association of Reflexologists).

I have always been interested in holistic therapies and after a long career in corporate retail management, I decided to take the plunge! It was the best decision of my life! Reflexology is so rewarding as you are helping the client to heal themselves and achieve homeostasis.

To see the results that my clients get and to receive the lovely positive feedback is truly a blessing and I feel very lucky to be a Reflexologist.

The Benefits of Reflexology

Balance

Reflexology is a wonderful way of maintaining your body's healthy balance and general wellbeing, reducing the stresses and tensions that come with busy lifestyles and giving us a space to reflect on the mind as well as the body.

Relaxation

Reflexology can induce a deep state of relaxation, which improves the effectiveness of the treatment. Relaxing helps relieve tension and aids circulation, increasing the flow of nutrients, oxygen and energy to all parts of the body, and helping with the removal of toxins.

Health

While it is not a cure, Reflexology can be particularly helpful in managing many health conditions, especially constant or recurring ones that we might have come to accept over time as being a normal part of life.

What issues can Reflexology help with?

Here are a few of the more common conditions that can be supported through Reflexology:

Sinusitis

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Headaches and migraines

Stress & tension

Depression

Hay fever & other allergies

Asthma

Women’s health

PMT, PMS & menstrual problems

Hormonal imbalances

High blood pressure

Insomnia & sleep disorders

Back pain

It is usually safe to have Reflexology alongside conventional medicine, but if you are currently having any medical treatment please speak to your GP before booking an appointment.

Learn More about Reflexology

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy. Your body is mapped out on your feet and hands and reflexology works by applying pressure to these various points that refer to different parts of your body. It is a totally relaxing experience, and you may even fall asleep. It aids sleep, promotes wellbeing, eases tension and aids homeostasis.

My story

I came to Reflexology after a period of ill health, during which I tried a number of conventional therapies but found them to be of limited effectiveness. After hearing from a friend about the natural approach Reflexology offered I booked a set of treatments with a local Reflexologist... and never looked back!

Inspired by this experience I began my own journey as a therapist, training at the renowned Devon School of Reflexology. I then set up my practice in Tiverton, Devon where I am located today.

As a Reflexologist, I have helped clients struggling with a wide range of issues including arthritis, migraines, sleep disorders, and back problems. I approach my work in a holistic way, aiming to treat the whole person rather than addressing a single concern, and tailor each treatment plan to the client’s individual requirements; your feet are a map of your whole body, and everyone's map is unique!
